Post All-Star

I have been somewhat quiet about things since the All-Star game.

I completely respect the way Doc handled things about the possible trade rumors and such while he was there. For a player who doesn't like to have a huge amount of media attention on him (part of the season I think New York/Boston would never be a good fit for him) he did incredibly well.

I think we all knew this day would come and maybe have been preparing for a Doc-less team for awhile now (try a year or so). But I don't think any of us expected it to be like this. And if you ever needed any more reason to admire/respect/love/adore Doc than you do, just read the very last part of this.

We played well against the Sox, not so great against the Indians. With Tampa Bay coming in this weekend, it could go either way.

Enjoy Doc's start tonight and cherish it for the wonderful sight it will be.

P.S. I guess the only consolation with this whole storm is...the suckiness of the Doc business softens (at least a little) the ultimate suckiness that has become the Jays season as of late.
